Other theaters of operations

The strategic manual "Fundamentals of preparation and conduct of operations of the Armed Forces of the USSR" defined the requirements for conducting a front-line offensive operation not only in Europe, but also in the South Asian and East Asian theaters of military operations:
The depth of the offensive operation - 600-800 km,
The width - up to 1000 km,
The average advance rate - 40-60 km per day,
The duration of the operation - 15-20 days.
Therefore, the headquarters of the military districts in the Far East, Transbaikalia, Central Asia and the Caucasus paid serious attention to the study of their southern and eastern neighbors. Here are some examples of such departmental publications.
